Still waiting 3 weeks for someone to call me back about my refund. You guys charged my card over $2000. I reserved my vehicle on the phone with customer service. Upon arrival I was told that the location had no cars available and they were not sure why the reservation desk would book me a vehicle and there are any cars available. I had driven all the way across town, because most of the locations are close due to covid. I ended up having to wait until someone returned their vehicle in order for me to get a car. The 2nd night the vehicle was hit by a hit and run at 3:00 a.m.. The police were called they spoke with customer service had the car towed and was given a police report number. The woman who answered the roadside call was so rude. She then proceeds to tell me that I have to get a Lyft to the airport in order to get another vehicle. At this point it is about 4:00 a.m., I asked customer service can we set the Lyft ride up for 10:00 a.m. in order for me and my children to get some sleep and not be on the highway with a creepy Lyft driver at 4:00 in the morning driving to the airport which is over an hour away from the location I was at. Not one time did she acts if me or my children were OK or if we were even involved in the accident. She refused to book the Lyft for the next morning and told me that if myself and my children did not take the lived at 4:00 a.m. then I would not be able to get a replacement vehicle at . We were basically forced to write half way to the airport at 4 o'clock in the morning just for her to call me on the way to the airport to say that it was closed and she would have to set up the ride to pick up the replacement vehicle for the next day. The Lyft driver has to take me in my children all the way back . By this time it is around 5am. I was told everything was noted in the system and once I get to airport they will have my vehicle ready. I arrived at the airport in the woman behind the counter had no idea that I was picking up a vehicle. She also had no idea about anything that was going on, she explained that there were no notes in the system. So I had to explain everything all over again wait hours for them to call customer service but everything in the system and get my Vehicle ready. I also filed out an incident Report at the airport location that I just recently found out was never filed ( someone from Hertz called to make sure I filed out the report) said the lady at the airport location didn't file it. I was told due to all of the inconvenience that I would Not be charged at a full rate due to all of the inconveniences within the 1st 2 weeks of even having the vehicle. I was tall that the Bhil would be to take care of before my car was charged in that they would call me once the car was returned to work out The discounted amount due to the inconvenience. Needless to say I am still waiting on someone to give me a call the car has been returned and my credit card has been charged over $2000 . No one ever called me I have been calling for weeks now and I keep getting told that the general manager of the location is going to give me a call.

I rented a truck with hertz for the month of April 2020. I got a flat on the truck the first day. I put the spare on while on the side of the road and rode around on the spare for a couple weeks. I then called Hertz service and asked them what to do about the flat tire. They said get the tire repaired, save the receipt and turn it in after the rental is turned in and you will be reimbursed.

Well, here is the response I received after being told again by customer service to email the receipt and I would be reimbursed:

Dear Mr. Sinclair,

Thank you for your email. I appreciate the opportunity to review your concerns.

When a customer rents a vehicle, he or she is accepting responsibility for that vehicle and its equipment, including the tires. Hertz does not reimburse expenses the renter may incur for flat tire expenses or other similar mishaps which are beyond Hertz' control. I regret any inconvenience you experienced and hope you will understand why we cannot absorb these costs.

It is our hope you will understand our position in this matter. We value your business and look forward to the opportunity of being able to serve you again.

Very disappointed in Hertz right now. I booked using points and because I canceled after 24 hours of making the reservation but yet it was weeks before the actual reservation date, I lose half of my loyalty points. I use many other loyalty partners and nobody else does this. With all that is happening right now in our country that is causing travel plans to change more than ever, shame on you Hertz ...
