Located at 1st & Main Street, the mural depicts show performers who played in or visited Joplin. As some of you may know, Langston Hughes and Charles McPherson were both born in Joplin.

Also shown is the Lincoln School, the school for Black students in Joplin during the time of segregation, and the Joplin Uplift, a Black-owned newspaper
